Caring for an injured, sick or abandoned animal is a powerful experience no matter where you are, but in a rehabilitation sanctuary, surrounded by some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including 3 of the Big 5 species (Lion, Leopard, Rhino), it can be a truly life-changing experience. This unique experience allows you to get up close and personal with carnivores at the rehabilitation facility daily while learning the importance of conservation in the 21st century.

If you’re passionate about saving wildlife, or you’ve always dreamed of working hands-on with wild animals or you’re taking the next step in your veterinarian career, this is the right choice for you. Among other skills, you’ll gain experience in animal care and husbandry, wildlife rehabilitation methods and assist dedicated and experienced staff in caring for animals.

CONSERVATION COMMITMENT

Dedicate your time and skills to wildlife conservation, contributing to the protection of South Africa's unique and endangered species.

Wildlife photography volunteer programs can be incredibly rewarding for both photography enthusiasts and conservation efforts. These programs often collaborate with wildlife reserves, sanctuaries, or NGO's dedicated to preserving natural habitats and species. Whether you're capturing images for conservation awareness or helping catalog wildlife for research, these programs can provide invaluable experiences.
